is located north of Tampa near Crystal River and the Gulf
of Mexico. The town is home to Homosassa Springs State Wildlife Park,
which offers visitors a chance to observe native plants, birds, and
animals. The main attraction at the park is the "Spring of 10,000 Fish,

wildlife. The Wildlife Park also serves as a rehabilitation center
and refuge for endangered West Indian Manatees that have been orphaned
or injured in the wild. There are a variety of recreational activities
in the Homosassa Springs area, including fishing, boating, canoeing,
kayaking, hiking, biking, golf and tennis. There is a hotel adjacent

the banks of the Homosassa River, villas, inns and other vacation homes
and rentals. Homosassa Springs is just a short drive to the Gulf Coast
beaches, and one hour to Walt Disney World and other Orlando
